Virat Kohli gets a warning from AB de Villiers ahead of the Test series between India and South Africa

AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli, arguably the two modern top-class batsmen to grace the game. The proteas star cricketer, AB de Villiers and the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli already has a great rapport between them but one would see them going head to head when they both take on each other on the field in their national Jersey.

Recently, we came across Virat Kohli being concerned with the preparation ahead of the South African tour in order to adjust to the South African conditions. Meanwhile, AB de Villiers sees no issue in it as no team in the world will get a month break ahead of any series especially in International cricket as everyone will be having their own schedules.

“Being in a country for a month before playing a series is ideal but it’s unrealistic, especially with our current schedules. If you’re prepared to do that (come earlier), you won’t be at home for many days of the year. Virat is a disciplined and adaptable guy. If he believes that’s the best way for India to prepare for tours, they must investigate the possibility,” AB de Villiers quoted as per The Citizen.

India should remember that they won’t get same (Sri Lankan) bowlers in South Africa: ABD

MR 360° furtherly added that India asking for the grassy wickets in the ongoing series against Sri Lanka in order to adjust the South African conditions may be an ideal one but added that the number 1 ranked team in the world should know the real fact of they will be facing whole new bowling in the form of Proteas comparing to Sri Lankan attack.

“It might help them but India has got to remember that they won’t face the same bowlers. They’ll face guys that come from here and know in which areas to bowl. It’s easy to overthink these situations. In the end, it’s just about getting onto the field and achieving results,” he added.

The contest between India and South Africa is going to be a cracker of the contest with all the major players taking part in the series. India will announce the squad officially after the conclusion of 3rd Test against Sri Lanka at Delhi.
