Virat Kohli is great but there will never be another Tendulkar says Harbhajan Singh

Indian captain Virat Kohli is currently on a roll. He scored consecutive double tons in the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka. The 29-year-old broke multiple records in this series. He has scored more than 2500 runs this year and his form will be crucial once India travel to South Africa.

Out of favour Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh said Kohli and Tendulkar are different batsmen and that it won’t be fair on the part of Sachin. ‘Bhajji’ said that he has bowled to both the batsmen and added that it was almost impossible to get Tendulkar out.

“Sachin and Virat are different batsmen. It won’t be fair on Sachin. Nobody is like Sachin and there will never be another Tendulkar ever in world cricket. I’ve bowled to both batsmen and I feel getting Sachin out was impossible. “Virat is a great batsman, in great form and has been dominating for the past 4-5 years but I feel Tendulkar is on another level.”

Kohli is taking the legacy forward: Harbhajan
He also credited former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly for setting the benchmark. Talking about Kohli’s captaincy, Harbhajan said the Indian skipper is taking the legacy forward. “He was a 10,000 player (in terms of Test runs) before and now he is like a 20,000 player. He is doing what others have not done before,” Harbhajan said. “I feel Ganguly is the biggest-ever captain of India. He did a very good job to take the team here after the match-fixing scandal and all… Virat is only taking the legacy forward.”

“Virat always had the hunger and any person who has the hunger, he doesn’t look back. He is a champion player and is a role-model for all young players. Virat is a great batsman, in great form and has been dominating for the past 4-5 years but I feel Tendulkar is on another level.” he added.
